Snoop Dogg is perhaps one of Rap’s “ancients”, to say the least. It doesn’t seem like it was too long ago that he was still under Dr. Dre’s wing, but now that he’s been rapping for about two decades, he’s beginning to take in his own new artists. Among them, his most recent protege is a young man who goes by the stage name of “Problem”. His real name is Jason Martin, a 26-year-old songwriter and producer who once was a NBA hopeful. He represents Diamond Lane Music, and the buzz for him is building with the upcoming release of his next album titled Plan B on March 6, 2012. However, he wasn’t always who he is now; it was only a few years back when he was still trying to figure out who he was and what he wanted to do with his life.
“Back in 2010, I really lost myself. I felt defeated ’cause I felt I was just trying to do everything everybody wanted me to do. And even if I got my name out and made a few dollars, I still felt like I wasn’t reaching my full potential,” Problem admitted, going on to state that “It was eye-opening for me ’cause despite the negative, I was still able to accomplish things I thought I couldn’t.”
So here we have a new, and rising potential who will be playing his next hits on the airwaves in only a couple months. Stay tuned for more news about Problem when Plan B releases on shelves and on iTunes.
