Jay Z’s $150 million Deal with Live Nation

So while looking up the richest people in Hip-Hop Music last night I came across an article from 2008 about Jay Z signing histories largest contract with concert promoters Live Nation.

Jay Z is set to receive $15/year over the course of 10years for a total of $150 million

The deal will give Live Nation a stake in almost every aspect of the rapper’s career and be the biggest deal for Live Nation yet, beating previous deals for Madonna, U2, the Jonas Brothers, and others.

Included would be $50 million to finance Jay-Z’s  ”Roc Nation”, his personal entertainment venture to include; a record label, music publishing, talent consulting and managing projects.

“I’ve turned into the Rolling Stones of hip-hop,” Jay-Z told the Times.
