Colorado State Police seize 25lbs of Marijuana

FRUITA, Colo. — On Saturday, a Colorado State Police pulled over a 52-year-old California man, who was driving closely behind another vehicle on I-70, about miles west of Fruita. The driver was identified as Santiago Farias Ruiz and was driving a black Ford Ranger truck.

Police proceeded to search his vehicle  and discovered nearly 25 pounds of marijuana. The marijuana was broken down into one pound bags, similar to those seen in the cult stoner movie “Super Troopers”

Police seized the cheba and Ruiz was arrested and booked into Mesa County jail on charges of unlawful distribution and possession with intent to sell. He was also issued a traffic violation citation and cited for driving without a valid license.
