Virginia State Police Seize 500 Plants and 12 Firearms

Virginia State police conducted a raid on home in Fincastle, VA at 11:45 AM Thursday, seizing 500 marijuana plants.  Police also found 20 pounds of processed marijuana with a estimated street value of 60-thousand dollars.

State Police also seized an assortment of weapons to include 7 rifles and 5 handguns.  Additionally, a Chevrolet pick up truck, a Honda ATV, and an assortment of equipment used grow marijuana were seized.

The state police charged 53-year-old Frank Fleet of Fincastle with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.¬†Investigators say the operation was “the largest in recent memory and extremely sophisticated.”
